Raymond Machinery Co.,Ltd as a professional supplier of casting part, process including sand casting, investment casting, so called precision casting, knowing how to produce various casting part with high quality. Mainly material includes: Carbon Steel; Alloy Steel; Stainless Steel; Manganese Steel; Tool Steel; Heat Resistant Steel;
Gray Iron; Ductile Iron; High Chrome Cast Iron; White Iron; Malleable Cast Iron.
When get customers’ design, engineer simulates all possible producing ways and select the most suitable one. Price is offered together with detail production process for client reference.
After the production process is finalized, internal technics card made by engineer. The entire production process typically involves several key steps:
- Pattern Making:
A pattern is created to give the shape and dimensions of the part to be cast. This pattern is usually made of metal in Raymond Machinery Co.,Ltd. A detailed and accurate pattern is essential to ensure the final product meets the design requirements.
- Mould Preparation:
The mould is where the molten metal will be poured. It can be made of sand, metal, or other refractory materials. Sand moulds are commonly used for many casting processes. The mould is carefully prepared to ensure proper alignment and smooth surfaces.
- Melting the Metal:
The selected metal, such as aluminium, iron, or steel, is heated to a molten state in a furnace. The temperature and composition of the molten metal are closely controlled to achieve the desired properties.
- Pouring:
The molten metal is poured into the prepared mould. This requires precise timing and control to avoid air entrapment or other defects.
Solidification and Cooling: As the metal cools and solidifies within the mould, it takes on the shape of the cavity. The cooling rate can affect the microstructure and mechanical properties of the casting.
- Ejection and Cleaning:
Once the casting has solidified completely, it is ejected from the mould. The casting then undergoes cleaning processes to remove any adhering sand or other residues.
- Inspection and Quality Control:
The cast part is inspected for defects such as porosity, cracks, or dimensional inaccuracies. Non-destructive testing methods such as X-rays or ultrasonic testing may be used.
- Machining and Finishing:
In some cases, the cast part may require additional machining to achieve the final dimensions and surface finish. This could include milling, drilling, or grinding operations.
Each step in the production process of a casting part requires careful attention to detail and quality control to ensure the final product meets the specified standards and performance requirements. This is philosophy of Raymond Machinery Co.,Ltd.
